Implementation team project –
Goal: Transition new clinical equipment without interrupting patient care.
Day 1: “Boots on the Ground”
Electronic inventory assessment, 1-day on-site inventory, developed new equipment budget, obtained quotes and ordered equipment.
Implemented new clinical equipment from a nearby staging area on Day 1, June 1, 2017.
Staged new equipment for implementation that was ordered after first wave of new equipment was installed
Inventoried and staged surplus EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) equipment to be picked up by ReLink and relocated to another facility, sold or recycled.
One of the final mini-projects was resolving a potential alarm fatigue issue by recommending 2 central stations be relocated.
Touchdown office was located on the third floor in a corner patient room plus 4 rooms for EAM equipment.
